woke up to snow this morning. nisha started crying. i managed to hold it together, but just barely. thought i’d feel better if i put up pictures from our beautiful weekend.
we didn’t realize we had an outhouse when we bought the house. but we did! complete with toilet, and a mound of toilet paper, and posters of kittens on the walls. …no privacy, though – it had a screen door.

raelen taking pictures of daddy and nisha dancing. look at that face on nisha - she loves her daddy!
i’ve been digging a garden in the yard, and i’ve pulled out huge numbers of rocks. ..its like they float up to the surface of my garden from the earth’s core, because i dig in the garden, pull out all the rocks i can find, come back the next day to more rocks just sitting on top of the dirt, waiting to say hello. either that, or they’re rolling themselves back into the garden after i pull them out, laughing at me all the while. anyway, we decided to use a small portion of the rocks to build a fire pit.

Just love your website and all of the pictures and comments! We’re dying to see the continued upstairs project. Wonder if one of those plants outside with buds could be a forsythia bush???
Gee, why didn’t you keep the outhouse – it would have allowed your children to keep the inside bathroom clean and you could have kept an eye on them as well (screen door). Just kidding!
We’re interested in Nisha’s ongoing school experience and happy that Raelen has learned to ride his bike without training wheels.
Do you have many neighbors? Any other children your kids’ ages? Wish I could bake like you, Maire!
